1.To Ask Or Not To Ask?

Is it best to ask questions during a reading or simply sit back and listen to what the reader has to say? Whether you decide to ask questions or not, directing your reader towards the life area/s you want to hear about can help you get the most out of your reading. Life areas are those big topics such as love and relationships, work and career, health, money, family,  etc.

​It can sometimes be difficult to put your finger on exactly what you want to ask - even though you can easily identify your challenge.  Firstly, decide which life area/s you’re going to ask about. You want fresh insight and relevant spiritual guidance to help you in these areas. Preparing yourself with one or more open, directional questions can help you get the most out of your reading. 

Open questions often start with how, what or why whereas closed questions often start with who, when, will or is. Never go into a reading expecting to have your decisions made for you. To get the most out of your reading, check out these classic examples below.

Classic Example Number One:
Will I ever find a husband? (predictive, closed question)
vs
What could I be doing right now to attract a loving, supportive romantic relationship? 

The first question creates the space for the reader to answer with a yes or a no. A closed question can limit  what you can discover about your situation and how you could improve it.  Always remember your future is in your hands. In this example, an open question stands to empower you by equipping you with clarity and guidance. Ask open questions and empower yourself to create your best possible future!

When will I win Lotto? (predictive, closed question)

Your future is constantly adjusting according to your choices, intentions, thoughts and actions.  Get the most out of your reading - ask open questions to discover what you can do to orientate yourself towards your best possible future.

2. Prepare Yourself: How you show up matters!

The energy you present to the reader can influence your reading. Take a moment. Relax, be present, exhale. Think of yourself as a book. Be open. If you’ve never had a reading, or it it’s been a long time since your last reading, you might sense some energy building up. It can feel like nerves, excitement or even fear. Taking a moment to prepare yourself can help you get the most out of your reading. Take a few deep breaths. Arm yourself with one or more open questions and show up with an open heart and an open mind. 

3. The Importance of Trust

​Your future is influenced by your past and it is constantly shifting according to your actions, intentions, thoughts and choices in the present. Trust that the Universe wants you to live your best life. Trust that you are connected to guides who want to help you design your best possible future. 

Trust the reader and her/his process.

​A reading offers you the chance to understand yourself and your situation a little more. A reader may tell you things you already know - this type of insight comes for a few reasons. Firstly, to validate that s/he has connected with you and your journey. When this happens, it's a good idea to let the reader know s/he is on track so s/he can delve deeper for you. Another reason you might hear something you already know is to validate your intuition. This can help you build greater trust in your inner voice. When it comes to creating your best possible future, there is no greater gift you can give yourself than identifying and following your own intuition.
